  The LICD performs the following key functions:

• Provides legal advice in the enforcement of food and drug laws  and regulations

• Conducts administrative proceedings and quasi-judicial  hearings on cases related to food
  and drug laws and regulations.

• Prepares recommendations, resolutions and other administrative issuance pertaining to
  regulation of processed food, drugs and other related products.

• Conducts investigation of consumer complaints on products regulated by the Bureau
          •   Affidavit of Complaint Form
               DO 45-G s. 2001
               DO 2010 s. 2004

• Monitors product advertisements and promotions to check compliance with existing
  guidelines on medical and nutritional claims
