• Conducts laboratory tests on finished products to determine compliance with standards of safety, efficacy, purity and quality

• Conducts tests on packaging materials used for foods, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices and
  other related products.

• Establishes scientific databases for use in the development of product standards.

• Produces properly bred laboratory animals used for toxicological examinations, bioassay and biological research and development

• Conducts inspection and audit for analytical laboratories to be recognized by BFAD-LSD

• Provides and conducts training to Regional FDRO’s in Centers for Health Development mini-laboratory
